about me

I grew up in NZ and was greatly influenced by my fathers  theatre.> . My mother was an artist ,my brothers played music, painted or worked with film. I was led to believe that in life , one who expresses themselves,particularily through the arts was very valuable and important .
I left NZ at 16 and lived in London for many impressionable years. This journey shaped me largely to who i am today. I studied painting at Hornsey College of Painting and the Byam Shaw School of Art .
I journeyed to Australia in the late 80s to finish art study at Alexander Mackey .and since then have continued to paint and draw ..although in a rather sporadic and hidden way .
  I believe in expressing myself from my  core . I believe everyone should do that or be supported and helped to do that in whatever way feels comfortable to them .  As ive got older i have realised the importance of the spirit in life .That we are truely more spirit than anything else . I have lived in the dark for many years .. i have no regrets about that. I hope to communicate through my work the journey between the dark to the  light. I strive to live in the light now as much as possible .
